As the closing event at the Monroe Center’s Artists’ Open Studio Days on April 13th you can spend the day browsing great art, then retire at 5pm to Shades Bar to enjoy the reading of this great play with a nice beer or drink.
During the Monroe’s Artists’ Open Studio from 12-5, artists’ open their doors and welcome you in to spend time in their studios. Visit four floors of artist studios, and you will see painters, potters, fabric artists, jewelers, floral designers, musicians, dancers and more. There is no admission fee.
In the Sawtooths tells the story of three high school friends, now in their thirties, embarking on their annual backpacking trip in the Idaho mountains. As their trip nears, their bond is unexpectedly tested by tragedy. What will become of their friendship as they navigate through an immense and unexpected wilderness? At its heart, the play deals with how friendship changes with age.
