Sing! Dance! Act!

Frog & Toad Kids

Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way with all their friends. They celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them all unique and special. A Year With Frog and Toad KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. This class is for the child with an interest in performing. Real scripts and costumes, real choreography—and real performances!

Performance Workshop

Seussical Jr.

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from TONY winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once On This Island and Ragtime). This class is for the dedicated actor with some performance experience who is ready to seriously focus on all aspects of a musical production.

Senior Pro Company

Heathers

Senior Pro Company is a group of elite performers in high school, college and post-college who are focusing on musical theater as a career. By invitation/audition only. Casting will take place in November. All actors must be off book for the first rehearsal. All soloists must have songs done independently prior to the first rehearsal.

Beginning Acting

This class is a basic introduction to contemporary acting through the use of theater games, exercises and activities. Students will apply basic acting skills such as memorization, diction, characterization and movement to monologue and scene work.

Acting 1

This class is for the actor with basic technique who is seeking a stronger foundation. In addition to diction, voice, movement and character development, students will begin to analyze contemporary text. Monologues and scene work will be worked on. Theater games, activities and exercises will be used in order to support the student’s growth as an actor both individually and collectively.

Acting 2

This class will continue with acting technique, with more advanced exercises and mature pieces. Students will give thoughtful examination to each piece through text analysis, active personalization, creation of characters, emotional accessibility and instinctive freedom. Students will learn core acting elements that make up a responsible actor.
