Since 2003, Mile Square Theatre is a non-profit performing arts organization based in Hudson County, NJ.
Our Mission
At Mile Square Theatre we cultivate community partnership, inclusivity, and courageous creativity, which we believe are an inherent and indispensable parts of the human experience. As an Equity Theater Company, we produce excellent professional theatre. As a destination, we provide innovative arts education, produce community events and rent space to arts organizations and area residents.
History
Founded in 2003, Mile Square Theatre has contributed to the arts and cultural landscape in Hudson County and greater NJ since its inception. In 2015, we moved into our current space, a 120-seat theatre with an rehearsal studio at 1400 Clinton Street. In 2018, we added “The Annex” at 420 14th Street which functions as an additional rehearsal and performance studio. We are a 501c3 non-profit institution.
